It's painless!

This doesn’t look like a toothbrush. And it’s not! It’s a simple, yet remarkably effective device used to screen for oral cancer.

Patients often have small “spots” in their mouths that, if left untreated, could turn into cancer cells. Using the CDX, Dr. Mitchmore can painlessly take a small sample of cells from the spot for testing. If they’re found to be pre-cancerous, the spot can be easily removed – years before it has the potential to do serious harm.
